HOW TO FIND US
We are located on the Pontoon in the village of Dittisham on the River Dart, just a few miles up from Dartmouth. The office boat is moored up on the right hand side as you come onto the pontoon. If you are using SatNav the postcode to use is TQ6 OHS. This will take you to the pay and display car park in the village as there is no parking at the pontoon.
From the A381 Dartmouth to Totnes, at the sharp bend where you will see the Sportsman’s Arms Public House, turn off to Dittisham (about 3 miles from Dartmouth or 7 from Totnes). After about two miles you will arrive in the middle of the village with the Red Lion Pub and the village shop on your right. Turn right here just after the pub into Riverside Road where there is limited free parking or just a couple of hundred yards later turn right again at the sign for the car park.
There are two car parking areas, The Level and The Ham. RinGo can be used to make payment. Machines are coin only and do not give change. Charges apply all days of the year including weekends and holidays.
Charges for 2021 are £2 for 2 hours, £3 for 3 hours and £5 all day (09:00 to 18:00). If you park at The Ham there are two ways to find us on the pontoon. If the tide is out, you can take a short 5 minute walk along the riverbank (right of the car park) and if the tide is in, you need to take the path located behind the children’s play area. Follow this path behind the houses and after a few minutes walk you will arrive at Manor street where you need to turn left and walk down the hill to the pontoon. If you park at the Level turn left and follow the road down Manor Street to the pontoon.
Coming from Brixham, Galmpton or Paignton areas, follow the signs to Greenway House and Greenway Quay – TQ5 0ES – turn off on the Brixham Road for Galmpton following signs to Greenway House – keep going straight on and you will arrive at Greenway Quay where there is limited parking. You take the ferry across to Dittisham, a regular service operates throughout the day which is £4 for adults and £3 for children (return trip).
